The waterproof rating of the LED transparent screen is IP33
The LED transparent screen P3.91 independently developed and produced by Ruipu Innovation now has a waterproof rating of IP33. It is completely fine for short-term rain and water droplets to splash. Its strong waterproof ability was well demonstrated in our previous article: “Waterproof Effect of LED Transparent Screen”. We all directly poured water on the screen, and the imaging effect was not affected at all. Even if the rain fell, I still stood out.
Waterproof principle of LED transparent screen
How did the excellent waterproof ability of transparent screens come about? Now let’s take a look at its structure.
The integrated die cast aluminum casing tightly adheres the lamp beads together, without leaving any gaps for water droplets.
All connections between the boxes are made using aviation interfaces, which are tight and seamless.
The power box also specially added a waterproof rubber ring to further prevent water vapor from entering.
Waterproof precautions for LED transparent screens
Although the waterproof level of LED transparent screens is still evident, for the best display effect, we still do not recommend placing the screen outdoors for a long time.
As a glass curtain wall, without changing the building structure, it can be installed inside the glass wall, and the waterproof level should not be too high.
As an outdoor activity background or stage rental use, this is not meant to be kept outdoors for a long time. Our current waterproof rating can fully cope with this.
